The Build – Part 8 – Tires, Wheels & Body
The final step in our Team Associated RC10B5M build has us gluing up some tires and mounting up the body and wing.

Build Notes:
- To get the most out of your B5M, make sure you squirt an awesome paint job on it. This will definitely boost your lap times on the track, look good to all your friends and the chick’s really dig it!
- Mounting the tires requires you to use CA glue, so please be careful when doing so. Gluing your fingers together (or to the tires) is never fun.

Step 93: With all the hooplah going on about the new 2.2? tires and wheels, I’ve decided to roll with these on the B5M. Proline’s Electron 2.2? tires in M4 compound are wrapped around their 2.4? Velocity VTR wheels. Using the stock inserts, I slowly glued these together using Proline glue and CompetitionX Gloo Toobs. I let the tires dry about 15 minutes before gluing the other side.

Step 94: Once you’re satisfied that the glue has fully dried, mount the front tires to the buggy…

95
Step 95: …as well as the rears.

96
Step 96: Attach the wing angle shim to the wing mounts. You can either lay if flat or with the nub facing up to flex the wing up for greater downforce.

97
Step 97: Because my paint skills are less than perfect (actually, less than horrible), I left that job up to Larry Genova over at Kustom RC Graphics. He, once again, did a fantastic job squirting my paint scheme on the B5M Lexan. Once you get your body painted (hopefully with Larry), cut and mount it per the instructions. Secure with the 3 body clips; one up front and two on the sides.

Congratulations! Now get that buggy out on the dirt and do some work!
