Q. What is Ronald’s Yatabe setup?
A. This setup is almost exactly the same, with perhaps a slight variation in shock oil weight (which is often adjusted to track conditions, feel, etc)

Q. So he still used yokomo springs on indoor asphalt?
A. This setup is for carpet. Yokomo pink and blue springs are very popular for carpet.

Q. Has Ronald used weight in his car??
A. A BD7 without weights is easily under the 1350g rule(ETS), so yes, weights are normally used.

Q. And he really used the 1mm instead of the 1,1mm pistons and also only 1-oring in the dampers? Or did he wrote that down because the kit comes with these parts?
A. Sure, 1.1mm pistons also work but very slight adjustment in oil. Yes, 1 o-ring.

Q. What about the bell crank brace on carpet? Are you using it?
A.(from Ronald) the race in yatabe was on carpet. I forgot to add weight in the sheet. we use normally 20-30g on the middle or left (rear and or front) of the car depends on where we need as some lipos are heavier than other. 1.0 and 1.1 is to me about the same, 1.0 stays a bit more flat on the track,if traction is enough ( in my opinion). bell crank brace is not really necessary, most of the drivers dont use it.

Response from a racer: Thx! I used this setup for testing some modified and it was quite easy and fast to drive! But i was wondering why you were not using any more 0,5mm shims under the steering blocks for bump steer and also not the short wheelbase in front? Also i realised how good the car works out of the box, because your setup is quite the box setup!
