The F1 class is always a favorite among those who are looking for scale looks and the challenge of a pan car-style chassis and this event has a good turnout with a deep field. A standout in the class is XRAY's Jan Ratheisky and his X1'17. The German driver is a threat at all the races he attends and his attention to set-up is impressive. For electronics, Jan uses HobbyWing and his Xerun 21.5T motor is set manually to around 44 degrees. His KO Propo EXII transmitter controls his car and he tends to only change the basics, but does up his exponential on his throttle since he is always trying to find a bit more punch in a class that has such limited power. For steering he uses a Savox 2263, but admits he usually uses his own signature model, but since it continues to work flawlessly, he's been apprehensive to change it out. Although most of the items on his car are stock, he does opt for the aluminum chassis and Montech front and rear wings, while the body remains XRAY and painted in his signature livery.
