I very often get asked about the wire choices on my XRAY X12. I understand why, since the wiring of a 12th scale is extremely important and sensitive.
  • I use TQ1000 (14 AWG with thin insulation) for the motor.

  • I use TQ13 (13 AWG) for the battery poles.

  • Yes - you can use 16 AWG for stock classes for the motor poles, although, I don't recommend it. The TQ1000 is the perfect cable for wiring the motor on a 12th scale. It's big enough for modified racing, but thin and flexible enough to not bind up the pod or affect the suspension travel.

  • TQ13 is a perfect size for the battery poles, and very flexible as well. I also recommend this wire for wiring your TC ESC.

  • As for the sensor wire, I use TQ Wire's sensor wires as well, usually 110, 125 or 150mm depending on the chassis layout. Pictured here is a 125mm wire.
TQRacing makes superior wires for your racing needs, especially 12th scale, I will go as far as calling them essential!
