French ace and Team HRC / TM driver Léo Arnold participated to the first round of 2015 1/10 Touring Car Swiss Nationals @ Schaffhausen.

Léo cames as neighbor, as he livies near the Swiss border. He joined the TM swiss team for the racing week-end after two days of training in Luxembourg for the next ETS round, with his teammate Valentin Lehmann.

During the free practices, Léo learned the very particular AMCS track and found a good setup basis for his TM E4RS III, quite different than he used for the ETS training at Luxembourg on Thursday and Friday.

First qualification: Léo was on the way for a TQ, when after 3 minutes his car became difficul to drive, due to a rear diff became too free during the run. So, Léo finished this Saturday’s run on the 6th place; and decided to prepare his differential for Sunday with new oil.

On Sunday morning, Léo ran with his second E4RS III, prepared for the rain; and obtained a TQ on the wet track during the qualification 2.

Third round of qualification has been cancelled due to track condition’s: the track was wet for the group 1 and dry for the group 3 due to the sun.

Fourth round of qualification: Léo placed a second TQ time on the perfectly dry track under sun, and obtained the pole position for the finales, great job !

During the finales, Léo managed the gap between him and a duo composed by Fabian Widmer and Florian Hauser, two swiss aces regularly placed in B and C finales at ETS. After winning the two first legs, and obtained the overall victory, Léo decided to try a different setup for the third round of final, and also won it.

So; two TQs, 3 possible without the differential problem in Q1, and 3 finales wins… what a domination on a difficult track with very performing contenders. A fantastic week-end for the Team HRC / TM !

It as to be noticed that’s the third national victory for Léo in three consecutive weeks: French National Electric Touring / French National Nitro Touring / Swiss National Electric Touring !
