Back in October, Tamiya drivers did very well at the 2022JMRCA All-Japan TC Championships.

At a recent race at the Tamiya Kakegawa circuit, Tamiya had a display of the cars used at the race, and the most interesting one is Takayuki Kono’s TRF420X, used to finish in the A-final of the Super Expert mod class.

His car was displayed without a body, which gives us the chance to see some of the updates tested and used on his car.

Notice the shorter damper and lower tower to suit. Also see the machined (lowered) lower spring retainer.

Shorter dampers and a lower tower also at the rear of the car.

The rear arms also do not look like regular production items.
