For this ETS I arrived on Wednesday afternoon to make some last practice and preparation at MR33 arena, not too far away from Daun, and I was not alone, more drivers had the same plans ;) . Was good to get some testing and see the speed compared to others. The Project 4X EVO felt okay just played with small setup change and flex and motor mount settings. Also run in new body shell to make sure all was perfect.

Practice at ETS
In practice it was just to get the tires run in and choose what set was better. Also did some diff test here between 7k and 10k to check was was better. In the end I choose 10k that was faster.

Qualifying
The track was really big and super challenging with many difficult sections. In the first Q1 I made a clean run to finish 7th overall. Second qualifying I had 2small mistakes and ended up 10th. For the 3rd Q3 I tried less camber in front to make the car easier to drive through the fast chicane that was a problem to keep the rear grip. This setting helped for rear grip but lost overall speed and did not improve on previous results.

For last Q4 I needed a better second result to make the A-final. I put on more camber front and tried to run without mistakes. I did not make any mistake but there was a lot of traffic for top 3 in our B-group and in the end I lost out on one point by 3 hundreds ( 0,03) of a second to Olly Jeffries. This was the deciding point to tie brake for 10th position overall.

In the B final I could win the main. Tried few things that helped for better feeling, but not improve overall speed.

Looking forward to the next races. Thanks to the ETS organisers and all my sponsors ! Till next time.

Remarks - This is Viktor's first ETS appearance running Serpent's 4X with all the parts that will make up the upcoming 4X Evo kit release, with the Swede starting off the weekend with a P7 in the opening qualifier. Happy with the performance of his car, he said the biggest challenge is the track and getting a set-up that gives you steering but doesn't cost you speed.
