So this was the LRP Touring Car Masters:

The first race for the teamdrivers to have their preproduction Mi5s for I was a bit excited to see how it would perform in their hands. But it seems like all of them where happy with their cars. Done something right then :)

Practice went ok. Over 5 consecutive laps I found myself 9th fastest. Since the qualifying heats where only filled up with 8 drivers this meant I was to start in the second fastest heat. Not too much trouble there, since the field of drivers was very high quality despite the absence of Team Tamiya..

The track was very technical with a lot of critical areas to get right. Or terribly wrong :)

I’ve messed 2 qualifiers up with mistakes, one with overcautiousness and the last qualifier saw some unfair behaviour of one of the scandinavian competitors. When the qualifying order was published, I knew why he did it.

A-Main pace was there, but wasn’t meant to be this time round. I found myself in the B-Main battling Fleischmann, Hudy, Väsmar and a lot! of the rest of Team Xray :)

Finished 2nd twice which meant I was 13th overall.

Still happy with the result.

Daniel Wohlgemuth was using my spare car and even though he was not able to do a lot of prerace testing, he was fast right away always battling for the top3 in the efra stock class.

The last final, which was to decide the remaining 2 spots on the podium was not his as he got mixed up in midfield battles.

But 6th is still a very good result and he too showed the great potential of Mi5.
