Giving the Schumacher Eclipse another shakedown at MRCR in preparation for the King of the Road race. This is a spec tire 17.5 race, so I have been working on a setup and trying to get on pace with the fast guys at MRCR, (no easy task). After trying about a thousand different ideas, I was able to break down into 7 second lap times, so there has been huge improvement in corner speed and driveability. If I can pull a consistent 2 or 3 tenths more out of the car, I will be right there. A 2wd buggy racer is trying to become a 1/12 scale rug racer, one race at a time. Thanks to Andy Murray RC and Robert Krens for setup ideas that gave me a good starting point on the high grip black carpet and to all the MRCR guys for helping me along the way.
