Danish 1/10th Touringcar Nationals Rd. 1

On May 22nd, the first round of the Danish Nationals took place at Vejle Minirace. The track is one of the biggest asphalt tracks in Denmark, with many different sections where absolute concentration and the ability to read the track is crucial for a fast laptime! There are a 100km/h main straight, Cambered and of cambered turns. Tight and fast chicane and a sweeper. My favorite track in Denmark for sure !

Practice were spent on further development of my Outdoor setup, and the times clearly showed improvement on my Team Durango DETC410v2.

Overnight rain meant the track had lower grip in the morning practices, and rain was on the forecast. Fortunately the weather decided to go full summer! It became very hot and humid. That meant that changes to the setup was necessary in terms of getting the car to work properly.

I managed to Qualify 6th on the grid which I was satisfied with in the strong Modified field. The Finals started out with a bad result, as I got out my rythm and was completely distracted when it lead to being lapped by the leaders. Kept my head cool and really focused on my driving style in the last 2 finals and it showed on the performance right away. Got a 5th in A2 and a 4th in A3. I was tied on points with the overall 6th place, but won the 5th spot on a tiebreak faster 4th place finish.

My car ran without any problems the whole weekend and I have for sure found a good base setup for the remainder of the season to work with.
