I got the chance to run my car again for only its third time at the Tamworth national. I think I'm getting somewhere closer to nailing the setup, but it just doesn't feel as quick as my old car. Still, I ended up 5th in the open mod B final...my best result ever, so it can't be that bad!

The car is dead easy to drive, and I didn't have any traction roll problems. Here's where I'm at for setup:

FRONT

0.020 Springs
5000wt Oil on kingpin
3mm Ride Height
10' Castor blocks
4' Castor
1.5' Camber
0' Toe
Angled servo

REAR

40wt Oil
Red spring
67mm Length shock (equates to about 1.5-2mm pod droop)
Medium length ball stud plus 1mm shim for front shock mount
Stock flex plates
5000wt Oil in tubes
Tubes in rear position
3.5mm Ride height
172mm wide

MISC

GRP purple front tyre 42mm
GRP pink rear tyre 44mm
Jack the gripper. Full rear, 3/4 front.
Cells fully back
Parma Zytec LW
Checkpoint 13x1

What really surprised me at the weekend was the motor. It was plenty quick enough (for that track, anyway), and that I managed to go quicker with probably the 'slowest' motor I've used in mod! Didn't have to worry about making runtime at all either, which was nice.
