- Team Associated TC6 - Olly Jefferies - Ardent - Winter Series Rd1 - 13.11.2011 -

Olly Jefferies follows up his Ardent Winter Series round one win with another convincing victory.

Round two of The Ardent Virgin Winter series proved to be a titanic battle between the TC6 of Olly Jefferies and the Hot Bodies of Andy Moore, after three rounds of qualifying it was first blood to Moore who took TQ and pole for the A final.

On a tight technical track Olly continued to fine tune his set up and come the finals Olly felt he had improved his car enough to challenge for the win.

The first final saw Moore and Jefferies pull out a small lead over the chasing pack in the early stage, then after the two minute mark Olly mounted a challenge and put the Hot Bodies driver under pressure, Olly kept looking for an opportunity and at the half mark Olly made his move and took the lead, Olly was under pressure for the remainder of the final but held on to take the leg one win.

Similar story in leg two as Andy Moore led early on, but Olly kept up the pressure, this time Andy’s car did not look as good as it did in leg one as cars started to back up behind Andy. Moore could still win the meeting with a leg two win but Olly made his move and once again crossed the line in first place to take the win the meeting overall and most importantly take another haul of maximum championship points.

In the 13.5 class Associated were also going well with the TC6 in the hands of Mark Hancock. Pole sitter Jonny Bowden made a good start in both A final and built up a small lead but coming through from fourth on the grid Mark drove two storming finals to take a brilliant second overall in the 13.5 class, Mark has recently joined the team after campaigning the TC6 at last season’s nationals and his result follows on from a strong showing at round one of the Ardent Winter series.

Well done to all CML/Associated drivers.
